2016-2017

At the 2017 DII NCAA Championships, Kusch took titles in the 200 IM (1:44.36),  200 fly (1:42.04), and 100 free (43.03), as well as a 2nd place finish in the 100 fly (45.81). He was also on the winning 4×100 free, 4×200 free, and 4×100 medley relays.

2017-2018

At the 2018 DII NCAA Championships, Kusch garnered even more individual titles. He started by defending his title in the 200 IM, blasting a new best of 1:41.61, also good for a new NCAA DII record. On Day 2, he won the 200 free by over 2 seconds, touching in 1:32.74, less than .3 off of his former teammate, Dion Dressens’, NCAA DII title. On Day 3, Kusch once again defended a title, this time in the 200 fly, touching at 1:42.16, just missing his own NCAA DII record from the previous year. On Day 4, he rounded out his perfect meet with a clean 4-for-4 sweep, defending his title in the 100 free with a 42.42, breaking another NCAA DII record in the process. He once again helped 3 Queens relays to winning titles as well, this time in the 4×200 free, 4×50 medley, and 4×100 medley.

2018-2019

Kusch once again had a sensational NCAA’s, starting with a 3-peat in the 200 IM, as he touched in 1:42.53, well off his own NCAA record, but nearly 4 seconds ahead of 2nd place. He won his first title in the 100 fly on night 2, stopping the clock at 44.32 to become the 5th fastest performer in history. On Night 3, Kusch once again won his fist title in another event, this time the 100 back, clocking a 45.09, shattering the previous DII record. On the final night of his senior campaign, he once again 3-peated, this time in the 100 free, touching in a blazing 41.73 to set a new NCAA DII record. He once again earned titles as a part of Queens’ relays in the 4×100 free, 4×50 medley, and 4×100 medley relays.
