Matt Zerweck
Matt Zerweck, a talented workhorse hailing from Folsom, California started his swimming career in high school when he joined the Sierra Marlins Swim Team. He quickly found a passion for the sport, and took his talents to Boston College where he will graduate with degrees in Economics and Computer Science. He prides himself as the tannest member of the team, and founded the unofficial “BC Bronze Club.”
2015-2016
In his senior year, Matt was chosen as one of the three captains to lead the team for the 2015-2016 season. His leadership proved successful, evidenced by the teams impressive overall record of 12-1-1.
2013-2014
In Matt’s sophomore season he recorded lifetime bests in the 200-yard IM, 400-yard IM, 200-yard freestyle, and 100-yard free. He was a part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that set a new pool record at Boston College, and was a member of the school record-setting 800-yard freestyle relay with a split of 1:40.42 seconds.
2012-2013
As a Freshman Matt achieved two lifetime bests and was chosen to the Atlantic Coast Conference team where he had a top 24 finish in the 400-yard IM. Additionally he was honored as a member of the All-ACC Academic Honor Roll.
