Tyler Lewtan
Tyler is the team’s top butterflier and occasionally dabbles in sprint freestyle. He currently owns program top-5 records in the 50, 100, and 200 fly events. He is in his junior year studying Environmental Science.

2012-2013
Tyler opened his rookie year, vying for the top spot in the fly events. During the dual meet season, he notched a number of wins, including a 1st place finish in the 200 fly again Norwich University. He lost the middle of the season to a lung injury but showed incredible dedication and resilience to return in time to contribute on relays at NESCAC Championships and post career bests in his individual events.
2013-2014
After opening the season still in recovery, Tyler returned to cemented his place as the top flyer for the Aquamules. He was a scorer throughout the dual meet schedule and had an emotional win in the 200 fly in front of home fans at the Alfond. At NESCAC Championships, he again dropped his career bests in all of his events and was a scorer in the 50 fly finals.
2014-2015
Tyler had a breakout year as a junior. He notched his first full season and was a vital part of the Mules posting one of the best dual meet records in years. He culminated the season with a lights-out performance at championships. He finished in the top 10 in the 50 fly, made finals and scored in the 200 fly, and was an important member of Mules’ relays. He also posted career best times in the 50 and 100 free.
Personal
Tyler is an accomplished fisherman. He regularly ventures out on fishing trips whenever he is free and has striking digital evidence of some sizable catches. He is also a member of Colby Water Polo Club and serves as one of the squad’s top players.
