The Birmingham Swim League has hired University of Alabama assistant coach Mike Davidson to be the its new Program Director and Head Coach.
Davidson is a former Crimson Tide All-American who also competed in the 1984 Olympics representing his home country of New Zealand. He’s been with Alabama for two seasons after years with the High Tide Aquatic Club and a stint as New Zealand’s National Team coach.
Davidson will start with BSL on July 15th and will be meeting with the team this weekend, according to the BSL website. The Birmingham Swim League is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and has produced such notable names as Alabama signee Will Freeman, former Texas star Hill Taylor and Auburn signee Genny Pittman.
