Boise State tops Denver at home, three pool records fall to freshmen

On senior day, Boise State pulled away from the visiting Denver Pioneers for their 14th consecutive win at home.

The Broncos prevailed 167-133 with a pair of freshmen breaking pool records. Felicity Cann broke her own 200 freestyle pool record, going 1:50.00 to win. Her old record was 1:50.25 from back in October.

Brittany Aoyama broke the 100 fly record, a much older mark. The time of 54.64 had stood since 2000, but Aoyama went 54.57 to knock it off and take home the win.

Denver got in on the pool record action in the final event. Freshman Johanna Roas led off the 400 free relay in 50.75, breaking the old pool mark of 50.85. Roas won the open 100 free but only went 51.00.

Boise State swept the diving events with Ciera Cortney and also went 1-2-3 in the 200 fly. Denver freshman Amanda Sanders swept the breaststrokes and junior Bridgette McNally contributed two wins of her own in the 500 free and 200 breast.
