Breaststroker Lauren Davis Verbally Commits to the Pacific Tigers

Fresno, California breaststroker Lauren Davis has made a verbal commitment to swim for University of the Pacific in 2015-16. Davis is a senior at Edison High School in Fresno and a 4.0 member of the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.

Davis trains with Tule Nation Tritons and is a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 200 breast. Her top times over the last two seasons have been:

100y breast: 1:05.88 100m breast: 1:15.64
200y breast: 2:21.96 200m breast: 2:39.47
200y IM: 2:13.67 200 IM: 2:30.67
400y IM: 5:18.38 400m IM: 5:18.38
50y free: 25.91 50m free: 28.86
100y free: 54.70 100m free: 1:01.54

Both Davis’s breast times would have scored at the 2014 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference championships. These were events in which the Tigers could have used more bodies; they only had one finalist in each. Daivs will have one year of overlap with UOP’s breaststrokers, Cristina Mardones and Cammy King, both of whom will be seniors next year.
