Samuel Hernandez, a current high school senior from San Antonio, Texas, has committed to swim for the Division I St. Louis University. Hernandez will graduate from Byron Steele II High School in spring 2020 and join the Billikins’ class of 2024.
Hernandez is a current swimmer for San Antonio Streamline Aquatics along with swimming for his high school team. He is a Futures finalist and 2019 Scholastic-All American. Hernandez is also a 100 breaststroke Texas 6A State A finalist along with being TISCA All-State.
“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Saint Louis University. Go Billikens!”
At the 2020 Atlantic-10 Swimming and Diving Championships with the Billikins, Hernandez would have placed 15th in the 100 breaststroke with his current best time of 56.84.
Best SCY Times:
- 100 breaststroke – 56.84
- 200 breaststroke – 2:05.31
- 200 IM – 2:01.75
This year at the A-10 Championships, the Billikins placed 7th as a team.
Hernandez will begin his swimming career at St. Louis University fall 2020.
