Brendan Burns 100 Back Post-Race Interview: “I didn’t think I had that in me”

2023 NCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Brendan Burns took home gold for Indiana last night in the 100 back with a time of 43.61. He also won the B final in the 100 fly with a time of 44.60, a time that would have earned him 7th in the A. Burns details what it was like to swim the 100 fly/100 back double (or in his own words, a “triple” including the relay), how he resets between races and how he feels about IU’s NCAA performance so far this year.
