1992 Miami University (OH) graduate Dave Dixon has been inducted among 6 former athletes into the school’s athletics Hall of Fame, the school announced in August. Dixon was an 8-time MAC Conference Champions, twice the MAC Swimmer of the Year in 1991 and 1992, and from 1990-1992 won back-to-back-to-back MAC titles in the 500 yard IM. Just as Gulf Swimming in the United States was invited to participate in the 2014 North American Challenge Cup in Veracruz, Mexico, Pacific Northwest Swimming has pulled out of the same meet. This event once pitted all-star teams from Southern California, Pacific Northwest Swimming, Canada, and Mexico against each other in an age-group battle. So far, though, in 2014, both Canada and Northwest Swimming have pulled out. Instead, they will send a 14 & under squad to the Zone Championships this year.
