Britain’s Daley & Reid Add To British Medal Tally

The British Team secured two more bronze medals on the final day of action in Kazan with third place finishes in the 10m Platform and Mixed 3m Synchro.

Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley won his first medal of the day in the 10m Platform and he later teamed up with Grace Reid to win their first medal of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series.

Daley went into the final of the 10m Platform in second place and made his intent on the final known with his first dive. He scored 98.60 for his Reverse 3 1/2 Somersaults Tucked.

He continued to dive consistently but finished with his second highest scoring dive of the competition with 95.40 points for his Back 3 1/2 Somersaults Piked.

He won his third medal of the Series with his bronze after scoring 543.80 points. Aisen Chen (China) won gold with a score of 580.60 and Hao Yang (China) won silver with a total of 574.80 points.

Daley and Reid looked strong throughout the final of the Mixed 3m Synchro and secured a score of 96.00 points after their required dives.

The pair secured their bronze medal with a score of 299.82 points with their best dive coming in the third round when they scored 69.30 points for their Inward 2 1/2 Somersaults Piked.

China’s Han Wang and Zheng Li won gold with a score of 322.50 with Canada’s Jennifer Abel and Francois Imbeau-Dulac taking silver with 320.76 points.
