Brittany MacLean Throws Out First Pitch At Jays Game

Canadian swimmer Brittany MacLean was given one of the greatest honors today as she was chosen to throw out the first pitch at the Toronto Blue Jays Game.

MacLean grew up in Etobicoke which is an area in Toronto, so being able to throw out the pitch for the hometown team must’ve been quite the experience.

It’s no surprise that MacLean was picked to throw the pitch as she’s been one of the top names in Canadian swimming for some time now. Recently, in one of her biggest triumphs, MacLean came home strong to win the 500y freestyle at NCAA’s for the Georgia Bulldogs.

MacLean’s on the Canadian Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacs roster, and should be one to watch at both competitions in multiple freestyle evens.

MacLean competed at the Santa Clara Grand Prix last weekend picking up a second place finish in the 1500m freestyle, a second place finish in the 400m freestyle, a third place finish in the 800m freestyle, and a fifth place finish in the 200m freestyle.
