SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University women’s diver Kelci Abernethy (Chandler, Ariz.) was named as the Northeast Conference Diver of the Week after placing in the Top 2 of both boards this weekend against Iona.
Abernethy earned her second weekly honor of the 2018-19 campaign after a first-place finish in the 3-meter (254.75) and a second-place spot in the 1-meter (227.85) to help the Bulldogs to a 168-126 win over the Gaels to round out their October schedule.
It is the 11th overall weekly honor for the diver. She will lead the Bulldogs again into a meet with Wagner and Central Connecticut, starting Friday night at 5 p.m. and continuing Saturday at noon at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.
