Bryce Fehringer Headed to the University of South Dakota

For more commitment articles, be sure to check out SwimSwam’s College Recruiting channel.

Bryce Fehringer, who trains with Loveland Swim Club in Colorado, will head north to attend the University of South Dakota. Fehringer is a versatile swimmer who could find his way into Coyotes lineup in a wide range of events:

  • 100 freestyle- 48.62
  • 200 freestyle- 1:46.66
  • 500 freestyle- 4:45.55
  • 100 breaststroke- 1:00.72
  • 200 IM: 2:01.64

Those times put him solidly in South Dakota’s lineup for the 200 and 500 free, as well as the 100 breaststroke. In fact, he would have been just as few hundredths away from scoring in the Summit League Meet in 2015 in the 100 breaststroke.

Fehringer has been a three year state qualifier for Greeley West High School. According to the Greeley Tribune, he certainly has the size (6’2) and build (190 lbs) of a Division 1 swimmer. South Dakota finished fourth in the Summit League last year, and will have to surpass their in-state rivals South Dakota State to to move up in the conference this coming year.
