Burns also collected a victory in the 50-yard freestyle event, swimming to a time of 24.09. Head coach David Sheets: “Overall I was pleased with how we raced.  Buffalo is a good team and they swam very well. Our main focus was not to worry about Buffalo’s races but to focus on our own. I think we did a nice job of that. Tomorrow will bring on another challenge with an even better Akron team. If we focus on taking care of our races and how we swim it will be a good meet for us.”

NEXT UP
The Dukes return right back to action tomorrow hosting another team from the Mid-American Conference in Akron. The diving portion of the meet will take place at Carnegie Mellon University beginning at 11 a.m. followed by the swimmers against the Zips at 1 p.m. at Towers Pool.
