Without wasting any time, Florida’s freshman sprinter Caeleb Dressel lead off their 200 freestyle relay with a new 17-18 National Age Group record in the very first heat of the 2015 Men’s NCAA D1 Championships.
He established the previous record that the 2015 SEC Championships with an 18.89. Today, he was out in 9.14 to the feet and brought it home in 9.72 to post a new record time of 18.86. This new record may not stay for long, however. He still has three more chances today to lower it again.
The florida relay of Dressel, Matt Curby, Corey Main, and Pawel Werner finished 10th overall during the prelims session with their time of 1:17.21.
Yes. That’s a bummer for Florida who otherwise had a great session….
Man. That’s fast. Gotta be frustrating to lead off in 18.8 and not have your relay make the A-final.
