Caitlin Casazza Is Going To Be A Bulldog

Caitlin Casazza, of SwimMAC Carolina, has verbally committed to the University of Georgia Bulldogs for the 2015-2016 season.

Until now, West and Midwest swimming programs have dominated the recruiting headlines, while the two-time defending champions have been quiet. The Bulldogs have landed a tremendous talent, adding Casazza to their deep roster. Casazza is an extremely versatile swimmer and has already qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials in the 100 and 200 Fly.

She Is Getting Faster

Most of Casazza’s best times were achieved during her junior season, indicating that she is improving and will likely continue to do. She will have an immediate impact on the Lady Bulldogs, with her ability to score at the SEC Championships in the 100 Fly (C Final), 200 Fly (B Final), and the 100 Breast (C Final). Once at Georgia, she will be able to learn the ropes from Hali Flickinger, who is currently the top flyer for the Lady Bulldogs. Casazza’s freestyle, breaststroke, and fly are all potential options for Georgia relays. Wherever Georgia decides to put Casazza, she will be valuable, but her fly is the biggest threat to the SEC.
