California CIF Finalist Mandy Brenner Commits to Harvard

Fitter and Faster Swim Clinics is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Socal Aquatic Association’s Mandy Brenner has committed via likely letter* to swim next fall for Harvard’s class of 2024.

“I am beyond excited to announce my acceptance via likely letter to attend Harvard University! I am very blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing team while attending my dream school. All of my friends, family, coaches and teachers have been so supportive in this entire process and I could not be more thankful to have them in my life and by my side. Go Crim!! ❤️”

At the 2019 California CIF Swimming and Diving Championships, Brenner qualified for the championship final in both the 50 and 100 freestyles, finishing third in both events. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American has been a CIF finalist for Crean Lutheran High School since her 2017 freshman season.

A formidable sprinter, Brenner’s best times of 22.82 and 49.82 in the 50 and 100 freestyles would have placed her fourth and fifth respectively at the 2019 Women’s Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships. Brenner is also a talented long course swimmer, having earned an Olympic Trials cut in the 100 free, as well as U.S. Open cuts in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly. With her best times, Brenner is likely to make a noticeable impact on Harvard’s guard of sprinters, as well as help replace now-seniors Miki Dahlke and Mei Lyn Colby. She will join fellow Harvard Class of 2024 recruits Claire Suen, Sophia Zhang, Victoria Eisenhauer, and Grace Yoon.
