Megan Delgado, a senior at Ruben Ayala High School in Chino Hills, California, will head to Charlotte, North Carolina for her collegiate swimming career after giving a verbal commitment to Queens University of Charlotte. Delgado competed in the consolation final of the 50 free at CIF-SS Division II finals in May, finishing 13th in 25.00. She also led off both Ayala’s freestyle relays, including their 200 free relay (with Shannon Steele, Nikki Thompson, and Kenisha Liu) which broke the division record. Delgado helped Ayala achieve a 12th-place team finish at the inaugural California State Championships with her participation on both free relays.

Delgado swims out of BREA Aquatics Association where her best times are:

  SCY LCM
50 free 24.81 28.58
100 free 55.00 1:02.93
200 IM 2:18.40 2:36.49
100 fly 1:02.83 1:11.57

NCAA Division II champions, Queens won the Bluegrass Mountain Conference meet by 236 points. While the Royals turned out impressive performances in nearly every event, they were particularly dominant in the freestyles, where they placed at least 3 swimmers in the top 8 of each final.

Delgado has a little way to go before she will score at conference; it took 24.6/53.7 to get a second swim in the 50/100 frees at 2015 BMC Championships.
