Cal’s Other Olympian in the Recruiting Class of ’13

Farida Osman is a sprint freestyler/butterflier from Egypt. She swam the 50 free in London but didn’t even know she was going to the Olympics until a few weeks before the games started. Next fall she’ll be headed to Cal to be a part of what could be one of the greatest collegiate dynasties in history. The two time defending NCAA champs will add Osman and a class that includes the greatest recruit of all time, Missy Franklin.
