Campbell earned a pair of victories in a tri-meet at the Johnson Aquatic Center Friday afternoon. The Camels topped Old Dominion 160-101 and Gardner-Webb 151-111.
Michelle Case was victorious in both freestyle events. She took the 50 free with a time of 23.85 before claiming the 100 free by swimming a 52.30.
The Camels took top honors in both distance events thanks to Geena Squartino. Squartino claimed the 1000 free by a full 10 seconds with a 10:37.59. She followed it up by swimming a 5:13.05 to earn the win in the 500 free.
Silina Sindija made it a clean sweep for Campbell in the freestyle events with her victory in the 200 free (1:54.51). Kamaria Mahone swam a 59.04 to claim top points in the 100 back.
CU was victorious in both relay events. The Camels opened the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay from the team of Mahone, Taylor McMinn, Caroline Clark and Sarah Wilson (1:46.91). Case, Wilson, Silina and Maddie Heggieclosed out the day with a win in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3.32.36.
Karah Sizemore and Madison Scott tied for second place in the 200 fly with exact times of 2:08.09. Clark swam a 57.33 to finish second in the 100 fly. She followed it up with a third-place finish in the 200 IM (2.11.23).
Gardner-Webb defeated Old Dominion 143-119 despite just two individual victories.
The Camels will have a quick turnaround and return to action Saturday in a quad meet at East Carolina featuring William & Mary, the Runnin’ Bulldogs and the Pirates. The action will begin at 1 p.m.

Old Dominion University swimming and diving opened the season over the weekend, as the men’s squad opened with a win over Gardner-Webb, with the women falling in close meets.
The men defeated G-W by a score of 155-102 on Friday. The Monarchs started the day with a win in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:34.96 with the team of Anton Mikaelsson, Peter Durisin, Filip Svedberg and Parker Harp. ODU received a pair of race wins from Ethan Apisa in the 1000 and 500 freestyle, and Anton Mikaelsson in the 100 and 200 backstroke. Durisin, Harp, Conor Davis and Filip Svedberg all won events for the Monarchs.
On Saturday, the men fell 182.5-117.5 at UNCW. Apisa and Mikaelsson were again double winners for the Monarchs, while Durisin and Svedberg also touched the wall first.
The women had a pair of setbacks on Friday, falling to Gardner-Webb 143-119 and Campbell 160-101. The Monarchs lost on Saturday at UNCW, 192-108.
Junior Ashley Brem earned a pair of wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke on Friday, while Jacklyn VandePoel won the 200 backstroke.
On Saturday, the duo of Brem and VandePoel led the way again, as Brem won the 100 and 200 breaststroke, while VandePoel won the 100 and 200 backstroke.
