Stephen Calkins, a senior at William Aberhart High School in Calgary, Canada, has committed to swim at University of Denver for the 2016-17 season. Calkins currently trains with the University of Calgary Swim Club.

Calkins was a member of Canada’s 2015 Junior Worlds team and was on the Australian Tour as well. He specializes in the shorter end of the freestyles and butterflies, and his best times are:

Calkins will bring versatile speed to the Pioneers’ roster in the fall. He will be able to fill a number of slots as his converted times would have scored in the A finals of the 50/100/200 free and 100 fly at the 2016 Summit League Championships.
