Individual day tickets are now on sale for Canada’s Olympic and Para-Swimming Trials on Swimming Canada’s ticketing website.
Canadian swimmers vying for spots on their Olympic team include Pan Ams gold medalist and world championships medalist Chantal van Landeghem, Pan Ams silver medalist Zack Chetrat, Pan Am Games gold medalist Michelle Williams, Pan Am Games gold medalist and world championship medalist Sandy Mainville, Pan Am Games medalist and multiple-time international medalist Audrey Lacroix, Pan Am Games silver medalist Richard Funk, SwimSwam’s 2015 Canadian Female Swimmer of the Year Emily Overholt, Pan Ams gold medalist in the 200 breast Kierra Smith, SwimSwam’s 2015 Canadian Male Swimmer of the Year Santo Condorelli, distance freestyle double world championships bronze medalist Ryan Cochrane, and six-time World Junior Championship medalist Penny Oleksiak.
The meet will take place April 5-10 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Center, the facility which recently hosted last summer’s Pan Am Games. In the past, Canada has held its Olympic Trials meet earlier, but this schedule will free up Canada’s stateside NCAA swimmers.
Preliminary heats will begin at 10 a.m. each day, with finals set for 7 p.m. The aquatic center seats 6,000 fans, with a competition pool, a warm-up pool, and a separate diving well.
Individual session, full event and three-day passes are also on sale.
