Carson Foster Primed For Jr World Champs: GMM presented by SwimOutlet.com

Gold Medal Minute presented by SwimOutlet.com

Carson Foster got the job done at the 2019 U.S. Nationals, qualifying for the World Junior Championship team in four individual events, including a wire-to-wire battle with his older brother Jake Foster in the 400 IM.  Carson’s excited for the young crew of Team USA talent headed to Budapest.  I see Carson putting up some great times a year out from 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Carson Foster PREDICTIONS?

  • 400 IM – 4:12.5
  • 200 Free – 1:46.9
  • 200 Back – 1:55.9

But who cares what I think.  What do you think?

Why the link to his Instagram? Haven’t seen much of that before. Why?

Most NAT teamers engage their more, and update their personal info and make public announcements.

I think Josh Edwards – Smith from Australia could win 200 back . He’s been 1.57 high and looks great

Ya had me until the 200 back, I think 1:56.9 is more realistic

200 back was a stretch, but I have to put at least one time in the WOW zone.

I think Carson could be 4:10-4:11 in the IM he’s really not bad at any one stroke. We have to remember his brother Jake is a primary Breaststroker who makes a massive move that 3rd 100

We’re told not until after the technical meeting right before the meet starts.

The 200 back is where I see him swimming faster than Nationals. The 400 IM is intriguing because he’s so strong in the first two strokes that it looks like he’s going to blow everyone away.

I like this Heroes of the Future video he (and Jake) did for the Olympic Channel. Michael Phelps makes a cameo appearance.
