Central America Tops South America at 1st UANA Swim Cup

2018 UANA Swimming Cup

Brazil’s Joao Pierre Campos picked up his 4th and 5th individual wins, to go with 3 relay wins, for 8 individual titles. It was Trinidad & Tobago’s Zarek Wilson who was the high-scorer in the boys’ 11-12 age group, though.

The meet was officially score in both an overall team format as well as a “South America” vs. “Central America” format. Mexico came away with the overall team title with 870 points, and they led the Central American CCCAN teams to a 500+-point win over the CONSANAT teams.

3 new teams saw their swimmers finish on the podium on the meet’s final day as well: Curacao, Bermuda, and Guatemala found their way onto the podium for the first time.
