Central Iowa Aquatics Hires Kyle Hastings as Head Coach

Central Iowa Aquatics is pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle Hastings as head coach. Kyle’s background includes extensive experience at the high school, USA Club, and NCAA Division I collegiate level. As a high school associate head coach, his successes included five straight high school championships and ten High School All-Americans.

While coaching at Metro Aquatic Club, a premiere swim club in South Florida, he assumed assistant head coaching responsibilities and helped the team rise to a top 50 USA Swimming club in the Country, increasing both membership and success in the water. Individual successes from this club included, 2 Olympians, 4 Senior National Qualifiers, 13 Junior National Qualifiers, 48 Sectional Qualifiers, and multiple LSC relay and individual records.

Kyle’s collegiate experience includes working as an assistant coach for Florida International University where he coordinated the school’s largest recruiting class in history and finally at Indiana University. At Indiana University, Kyle worked as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator developing the sprint group program into one of the NCAA’s elite groups.

During his tenure he has recruited some of the top athletes from around the world and the university has produced 5 USA national team members, 4 team Top 10 NCAA finishes, and 14 Big 10 champions. Kyle begins his tenure as Head Coach for Central Iowa Aquatics on April 1 taking over for Allan McCallum who will be joining the staff at University of Mary.
