Chico Aqua-Jets’ Keely Johnson Signs NLI with UC Davis Aggies

Pleasant Valley High School senior Keely Johnson has committed to the University of California, Davis for the 2015-16 season. Johnson, who has swum for the Chico Aqua-Jets for 10 years, won the 200 IM and placed second in the 100 back at the 2014-15 CIF-Northern Section Division 1 Swimming Championships last October. She then went on to win the 100 back and get second in the 200 IM at the NSCIF Masters Meet in November.

Johnson’s top times are:

50y free – 24.45
100y free – 52.94
200y free – 1:56.84
100y back – 59.00
200y back – 2:09.46
200y IM – 2:10.57

Johnson will join Mia Facey on the Aggies’ roster. The Davis women’s team won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship in 2014 and were runners-up in 2015.
