China win 9 of 10 golds at the Singapore FINA Diving Grand Prix

China was once again the nation to beat in Singapore (SIN) this weekend for the seventh leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2015. Chinese divers won nine gold medals out of ten at stake. Only exception was in the women’s 10m final, where 16 year-old Lois Toulson of Great Britain triumphed with 345.25 points, in front of Wang Han and Wang Ying (CHN).

Divers from Australia, Egypt, Indonesia, Korea, Sweden and Ukraine also climbed on the podium.

In the women’s competition, China easily prevailed with Wu Chun Ting capturing gold with 339.75 point in the 30m springboard, in front of Ukraine’s Anastasiia Nedobiga (316.85) and Naomi Gowlett (AUS, 296.35).

Among men, Wang An Qi (CHN) topped the 10m (478.45) while counterpart Peng Jian Feng triumphed in the 3m with an extraordinary 515.70 points. Zhong Yu Ming (CHN, 390.85) was second and Matthew Carter (AUS,390.70) closely followed by the bronze medal.

Both mixed synchronised events saw Chinese pairs winning with respectively 289.50 points in the 3m and 312.60 in the 10m event.

The yearly circuit of the FINA Diving Grand Prix will stay in Asia for another stop, in Kuala Lumpur (MAS) on October 23-25. The last meet will be held in Gold Coast, Australia on November 1.
