Chinese Olympic Qualifiers Through Conclusion Of National Championships

2024 CHINESE NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2024 Chinese National Swimming Championships concluded last night from Shenzhen which means we have a provisional roster constructed for this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Per the Chinese Olympic Selection Policy, times performed at the 2023 World Championships, 2024 World Championships and this competition were ranked. The 2 fastest times from these meets booked swimmers’ passage to Paris as long as the World Aquatics Olympic Qualification Time was met in the process.

We’ll await the official roster to be released from the Chinese Swimming Federation; however, in the meantime, here are the top 2 performers from each individual event that look to have sealed their spots on the Paris squad.

Interesting that there are no 400 IM qualifiers. I don’t blame them, it’s not my favorite event either 🙂

Zgang zhanshuo opted out of swimming it at the trials but has the A standard and the 4im doesn’t clash with 4×2, 4 free and 8 free in Paris so he could be swim it. The winner at their trials had a good swim with his 4 15. The women’s 1 free and men’s 4im had spectacular heats in Rio, which has now skewed the OQT (A standard) towards a rather lofty achievement.

Said as if did not accept the drug test, the number of tests in China has been in the forefront of the world, some Western countries are smearing rumors, play this trick to play when, the strength of the competitive arena is in charge, the dish is more practice

Basically I agree with your prediction except for Ye Shiwen/200 breaststroke.

Unless Ye could go sub 2:20, I don’t see how she is going to take it.

Even Yu Yiting (200 IM) has a better chance than Ye.

Los 100 espalda masculino y 200 brasas femenino. No creo x los tiempos. Y si peaty vuelve con sus tiempos nada los 100 mts pecho se van para gran bretaña.

China most likely to win these relays in paris:-

Men
4x100m freestyle
4x100m medley

Women
4x100m medley
4x200m freestyle

Mixed 4x100m medley

Somewhat optimistic on the women side.
Might look more convincing if you could stratify that ” most likely”.

El relevo femenino combinado se pierde fuerza x los 100 espalda mujeres. Ahí esta la debilidad y combinado los 100 mariposa hombres no es tan fuerte pero están ahí en el toque se va a definir x nada. Va a estar para alquilar balcon

There’s a good chance some of these athletes will be suspended for their doping scandal and won’t make it to Paris.
Even if they aren’t, I wonder how fast they actually are when they have to swim clean. Best case scenario for China, will be two golds.

The fact you added on “Even” clearly shows you have no idea what you’re talking about. And you don’t have to wonder, they’re as fast as they are at Worlds and Olympics

Cant think of a country with better freestyle technique at the moment. Pan, Fei, Zhang, Ji, Li are front crawlers I’ve watched and re watched with pleasure

Fascinating because there’s a chance China absolutely sweeps and wins like 8 golds but there’s also a chance that they only win the Women’s 100 Breast. Lots of medal opportunities for them but no events where they are a rather dominant favorite (outside, once again, the W100Br)

Does the predicted 8 individual gold medals (made by a few commenters) include Zhang Yufei 50 free? I read that she (or her coach) has confirmed that she is going to swim the event in Paris for sure.

I think more so 8 chances at individual gold medals rather than 8 predicted golds. And it prob doesn’t include the 50 free, that’s more so a chance at a minor medal

Did She or her coach Cui do that?

Theoretically she would have to swim 3 events sequentially on August 3, 2024: 50 free heat, W 4×100 medley relay heat, 50 free semi. Hopefully She were able to drop the relay so as to save her verve for the following 50 free semi a couple of hours later.
