The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s swimming and diving honors for the week ending Jan. 15.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Chris Bready • Jr. • Cincinnati • Missouri City, Texas
Bready swam his way to five first-place finishes and one runner-up in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events over three meets for Cincinnati. The junior set the program record in the 1,000 free at the Cincinnati Winter Invitational against Kenyon, Oakland and Ohio State. He rewrote the Bearcats’ record books with a time of 9:06.15 – ranking first this season in The American by over eight seconds.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
Bryce Klein • Jr. • SMU • Southlake, Texas
Klein placed runner-up or better in four events for SMU. The native of Texas finished atop the podium in the 1-meter (360.90) and 3-meter (344.60) in a dual meet with Incarnate Word, after taking silver at the USA Diving Winter National Championships as part of a synchronized 3-meter team and at the Tennessee Diving Invitational. Klein has posted a NCAA Zone qualifying score in every event he has competed in this year.

Jacqueline Keire • Sr. • Cincinnati • Burlington, Ontario
Keire continues her impressive senior year as she compiled seven individual first-place performances in three meets for the Bearcats. The product of Burlington, Ontario, has now won 19 individual races this season, with the only losses coming in the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle against Ohio State. Keire ranks amongst the nation’s best in the 200 (7th, 1:43.19), 100 (11th, 47.99) and 50 freestyle (25th, 22.28).
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FEMALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
Alicia Roueche • Jr. • East Carolina • Greensboro, North Carolina
Roueche posted a pair of personal best scores in a 175-113 win against Old Dominion. The junior captured the top spot in the 3-meter event with a score of 319.65 and produced a NCAA Zone qualifying score of 261.70 on the 1-meter board.
