Cleveland State Picks Up Canadian Chuchu Yang

Nepean Kanata Swim Club Barracuda’s Chuchu Yang gave her official commitment to swim at Cleveland State University this fall.  Yang, a backstroke/fly specialist from Ottawa, Canada, should contribute to CSU’s efforts in the Horizon League immediately. Her times converted to short course yards would land her in the B-final for the championship meet for the 100 fly and 100 back.  Her 200 backstroke would have scored solidly in the A-final based on 2015 results as well, making Yang a quality commit for the Vikings.

“I chose CSU because as soon as I stepped on campus I knew that was where I wanted to spend the next four years. The team and coaches are so great, and I couldn’t see myself anywhere else. I can’t wait to be a part of such an amazing team!”

Yang’s Best Times:

50 back SCM: 30.40

100 back SCM: 1:04.34

200 back SCM: 2:16.99

100 fly SCM: 1:03.74

400 free SCM: 4:28.28

200 IM SCM: 2:25.26
