This is a really insightful interview from the perspective of someone who has been on deck for quite a while. I just wish he had more to time reflect before answering. Still, it does explain part of what we’ve seen to-date…..a number of college swimmers, not just Texas, look to me as if they are pointed elsewhere and US Open/University Games makes sense for quite a few.
I also sense that he might be processing what it means to have so many swimmers at the Trials…..lot’s of reasons to object, most especially in my view the extended prelim sessions cuts down on the rest before the evening swims. This has to be a factor for the older swimmers as… Read more »
