Coach’s Log: Distance Day at Georgia

*Video produced by SwimSwam contributor Coleman Hodges.*

The championship banner has been raised down in Athens and now the Bulldogs are back to work. Last Tuesday afternoon Jack Bauerle took the distance group and 400 IMers at Georgia through some active recovery efforts.

In this interview with Garrett McCaffrey, Bauerle gets into the details of the set. What type of workouts came before this in the week. Who was doing the set and why. Even some of the amazing times he saw throughout the practice. Here is the set, as written by the legendary coach himself.

This is awesome. I love to hear how fast some of the best go in practice. I don’t really have anyone close to me on my own team to compete with during practice so its inspiring to hear what “can” be done.
