Nathan Adrian really doesn’t need an introduction, but I’ll give him one anyway. A native of Bremerton, Washington, Adrian made his first Olympic team in 2008 by placing 4th at the Olympic trials in the 100 freestyle at the age of 19. In 2012, Nathan came storming back onto the olympic scene to not only qualify for the individual 100 freestyle, but also win Gold at the London Games. Most recently, he won double bronze in the 50 and 100 freestyle at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. And that’s just Olympic success. Nathan is sponsored by names such as Speedo, Coke, BP, BMW, and Citi. A Cal alum, he still resides in the Bay Area and trains in Berkeley with Dave Durden and his Golden Bears.
I found out that Nathan and I were on the same page about a lot of topics last week, but perhaps the most important was the never ending argument of cats and dogs. I discovered that Nathan also believes that someone isn’t a cat or a dog person outright, they just haven’t met the right cat or dog for them. Nathan defends this stance through his own feline experience, more specifically with his newly acquired cat, Ash.
Hello, MEOW! I am a swimmer, butterflier specifically and love cats. Dogs too! I have two, Sugar, a Persion Exotic white cat with a blue and gold eye and Teena, a grey striped tabby. They love my swim bag and attack it everyday and sometimes claim the red bag as their own. My cats put me asleep at 9:00 PM with a loud purring and kind of tucks me in by pulling the blanket up and then leaves to keep me asleep. 5:00 AM comes and the alarm and meowing at the door to get me going.
