AAC Male Swimmer of the Week
Joao De Lucca, Louisville
A defending NCAA champion, De Lucca had a strong performance in an upset victory for the No. 19 Cardinals as they beat No. 12 Tennessee for the first time in school history, winning 167.5-132.5. De Lucca had two individual victories, in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle, while placing second in the 50-yard freestyle. De Lucca swam the 100-yard freestyle in 44.02, the top time in the NCAA thus far, while swimming the fifth best time in the NCAA with a 1:37.44 in the 200 freestyle. Both results were NCAA ‘B’ cuts.
AAC Female Swimmer of the Week
Jackie Keire, Cincinnati
In her second collegiate meet, Keire contributed to six total first place finishes as the Bearcats placed second at the West Virginia Invite. She swam in four individual freestyle events, winning all four. Keire opened the weekend with a win in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing in 10:09.22, and followed that with a win in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.81. She won the 500-yard freestyle by a large margin, touching the wall in 4:58.65. She also won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.05. Keire was also part of the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay that both placed first. Bryce Bohman, West Virginia, Sr., Moline, Ill.
Scored crucial points for the Mountaineers in their dual-meet against the Penn State Nittany Lions with a second place finish in the 200 back (1:47.93) and 100 back (48.73).
Big 12 Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Samantha Tucker, Texas, Sr., Austin, Texas
Against UNC, Tucker posted second place finishes in the 200 free (1:48.67), 50 free (23.55) and the 400 freestyle relay (led off in 51.01). Against in-state rival Texas A&M, the senior placed first in the 200 free (1:47.95), second in the 200 medley relay (23.44 anchor leg), second in the 100 free (50.44) and third in the 50 free (23.42). Tucker’s effort of 1:47.95 in the 200 free (NCAA “B” cut) ranks fifth nationally.
Big 12 Men’s Diver of the Week
Liam McLaughlin, West Virginia, Sr., Medina, Ohio
McLaughlin stayed in fine form for the WVU divers last week, scoring two wins in the 1-meter (284.47) and 3-meter (324.75) against Penn State.
Big 12 Women’s Diver of the Week
Emma Ivory-Ganja, Texas, Jr., The Woodlands, Texas
Ivory-Ganja finished second in the both the 1-meter (284.40) and the 3-meter (329.70) against North Carolina. She then helped Texas sweep the diving events at Texas A&M with her winning score of 338.40 in the 3-meter event.

Richard Funk, Michigan
Jr. – Edmonton, Alberta – Strathcona
- Placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (54.14), 200-yard breaststroke (1:58.82) and 200-yard medley relay (1:27.81) in Michigan’s double-dual meet with Indiana and Texas in Bloomington, Ind., on Oct. 25
- His 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke times were an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
- Trio of first-place finishes helped the Wolverines defeat the Hoosiers (203-97) and Longhorns (166-134)
- Earned his second-career Swimmer of the Week award

- Three first-place finishes helped lead the Buckeyes to a 186-101 win over Kenyon College

- Her two individual first-place finishes helped the Hoosiers defeat Michigan, 181-119
