College Swimming Weekly Preview: Jan. 6-9, 2022

The college swimming calendar is currently in a state of flux as dual meets left and right are being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A couple of notable cancelations include a pair of Texas A&M duals with FSU and Florida, along with Auburn vs Georgia Tech, and more could very well be called off in the coming days.

However, there are still some meets currently scheduled to run, headlined by a Big Ten showdown between Michigan and Indiana on Jan. 8.

Below is a list of the D1 meets we’ll be covering at SwimSwam this week. If we missed any, please leave them in the comments and we’ll get them added.

If there are any canceled meets that aren’t listed as so, let us know in the comments as well.

Rumor is Alabama v Georgia is swimming only due to UGA diving having an outbreak. There are also a lot of people missing from both sides

UGA has already announced that their divers are not competing. I would assume Alabama would exhibition their divers as a courtesy, but who knows.

I do know that both teams will be without some of their stars, and this meet could go either way depending on who is/isn’t able to compete
