#5/#2 Texas battles #12/#8 Indiana and #16/#6 Louisville in a banner triangular that should effectively cap the fall dual meet season before mid-season invites.
Texas is coming off women’s and men’s wins over state rival Texas A&M last weekend. The Indiana men are undefeated with dominating wins so far over Kentucky, Notre Dame, Michigan and Iowa. And Louisville beat Notre Dame but fell in tough scrapes to Tennessee. This weekend’s tri meet will feature a long course day on Friday and a short course yards clash on Saturday. It also features three programs that were inside the top 10 at last year’s NCAAs for both men and women.
This weekend is also the last big weekend of major dual meets before the top programs get into their mid-season invites. Next week features a lighter slate of mid-level meets, and the bulk of the major mid-season invites take place the following week.
Other key meets to watch this week:
- The Kentucky Quad: the #9 Kentucky women (men unranked) host #4/#3 NC State as well as Missouri (#18 for men, women unranked) and Arkansas.
- Big Ten Border Battle: #19/#17 Minnesota hosts rival Wisconsin, ranked 17th for women with the men unranked.
- Triple Distance: the #1 Cal men face off with #7 Stanford in the annual Triple Distance meet.
- The Battle for Florida: #16/#9 Florida hosts unranked Florida State.
- In another SEC/ACC clash, the Tennessee men (who received votes in our Power Rankings) face #16 Georgia Tech.

Texas/Indiana/Lousiville will be fun
Florida is hosting the meet against FSU in Gainesville – not travelling to Tallahassee
The tri-meet with NC State and Missouri may be pretty close with how fast Mizzo have been swimming on the mens side
Will be interesting for sure With Mizzo suiting up. That team is already pretty good and suits make a bigger difference than a lot of people think.
