Colorado Sprinter Will Pieseski Commits to Miami University Redhawks

Will Pieseski, a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Castle Rock, Colorado, has committed to Miami University (Ohio).

“Miami just felt right to me when I was on campus; I think it’s going to be a great balance of academics and athletics. The coaches and the team are awesome, and I can’t wait to be a Redhawk!”

Pieseski attends Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado, and swims for Denver Swim Academy. He specializes in the shorter end of the freestyle spectrum, and placed eighth in the 50 free and 11th in the 100 free at the 2014 CHSAA 5A Boys Swim & Dive State Championships. He also anchored Regis Jesuit’s first-place 200 medley relay and led off its third-place 200 free relay. Pieseski’s top times are:

50y free: 21.30 50m free: 25.19
100y free: 47.11 100m free: 53.36
200y free: 1:45.81 200m free: 2:02.29

Outisde the pool, Pieseski is a St. Ignatius Scholar, AP Scholar with Honors, and National Merit Commended Student. He received the Colorado Academic All-State First Team Award in both 2013 and 2014.
