FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State swimming and diving coach Christopher Woodard has announced the addition of three athletes to the program, including two divers. They join seven swimmers who signed in the early period.
The Rams are coming off a season where they finished seventh at the Mountain West Championships, with seven members of the team earning all-Mountain West recognition.

The loss of Oregon State’s swimming program became a gain for the Rams when they added the talented freestyler as a transfer. As a freshman for the Beavers, she posted four personal bests at the Pac-12 Championships, times Woodard feels will make her a valued part of CSU’s Mountain West team. Her range as a freestyler took her from the 100 race up through the 1,650.
Why she wants to be a Ram: “I chose Colorado State because of the incredible academic programs, student athlete support, and enthusiastic coaching staff. After the first time I visited Fort Collins, I felt comfortable in the town and on campus, and that I could call it my new home! I am also so thankful to have been given this opportunity to continue to swim at the Division 1 level and that the CSU swim and dive program has been so welcoming and understanding of my situation. I’m beyond excited to say GO RAMS!”
McKenna O’Reilly | St. Petersburg, Fla.| Dixie Hollins HS| St. Pete Club Diving
The St. Petersburg, Fla., product brings a strong skill set despite being new to the sport. She didn’t take it up until her junior year at Dixie Hollins High School, earning most valued player honors. She was the first diver from her school to qualify for state, then went out and placed ninth. To advance her skills, she worked with Bill Walker of St. Pete Club Diving. With her gymnastics background, her potential remains relatively untapped.
Why she wants to be a Ram: “I am super excited to be able to continue my academic journey in place as beautiful as Colorado while also being a part of a team that has the same hardworking and driven attitude as I do.”
Jessica Albanna | Albuquerque, N.M. | Albuquerque HS | Lobo Diving Club
The 2019 New Mexico state champion joins the program off a successful prep career, not only in the well, but in the classroom. She was a four-year honor roll student, with her best events the 1- and 3-meter boards. Diving coach Luke Richmond feels she will bring a drive and an energy to the team.
Why she wants to be a Ram: “I chose CSU for the inclusive community, friendly teammates and beautiful scenery of Colorado. I’m so lucky to be able to study and dive at a school that checks every single one of my boxes.”
