Columbia Men and Women Announce Schedule for 2015-16 Season

Men’s Team

NEW YORK – A 10 dual-meet schedule awaits the Columbia men’s swimming and diving team for the 2015-16 season as announced by head coach Jim Bolster on Friday, July 31. The Lions season home opener on Friday, Nov. 6 will feature longtime adversary Army, before immediately diving into Ivy League play the following weekend with a trip to Penn on Friday, Nov. 13. The weekend will continue by also hosting Yale on Saturday, Nov. 14, while Harvard will make the journey to Uris Pool on Friday, Nov. 20.

Following the Lions winter training sessions, Columbia will return to Uris pool to face Cornell on Saturday, Jan. 16. With a five meet road swing to follow, the Lions will close out the dual-meet season at home against Dartmouth on Sunday, Feb. 7 before gearing up got the Ivy League Championships hosted by Brown from Feb. 25-27.

Women’s Team

NEW YORK – On Friday, July 31, the Columbia women’s swimming & diving program released its 2015-16 season schedule, announced by head coach Diana Caskey. The upcoming campaign includes a total of seven dual-meets, including four at home in Uris Pool.

The Lions will host Penn on Friday, Nov. 6 for its season home opener to begin Ivy League play and to kick-off a home stand of three straight dual meets. Columbia will also welcome Yale to Uris Pool on Friday, Nov. 13, followed by Harvard on Friday, Nov. 20, before closing out the calendar year with a trio of invitational’s on the road.

Returning in 2016, the Lions will follow the Austin Grand Prix with a return to Ancient Eight action at home against Cornell on Sunday, Jan. 17. The dual-meet season will climax with the home finale on Sunday, Feb. 3 against Dartmouth, before Columbia gears up for the Ivy League Championships hosted by Princeton from Feb. 18-20.
