Last weekend, swimmers got in a final tuneup for U.S. World Championships Trials at a handful of meets across the country. To give a comparison of times across all of the meets, we’ve compiled the top 8 times in each event. This article is the women’s edition. For the men’s version, click here.
**NOTE: These lists are made up only of times done at the Santa Clara PSS, Charlotte UltraSwim, Bucceto Open, Namesnik Invitational, and Southwest Classic. This is not a list of the fastest times for the entire season. The 50 fly, 50 back, and 50 breast are not included because they were not swum at all meets**

I wonder why Kathleen Baker didn’t swim the 100 back
Escobedo needs to be on the 200 breaststroke top 8. She was 2:26.91 in Santa Clara
Kelsi Worrell is in great shape – 3 wins in 3 events among those the 50 free !!! Impressive
There was some movement forward among Americans at 200 free. But still more than a one second (on paper) behind 4 best Chinese girls. And still are not that deep: China – 8 “A” qualifiers, USA – just 5
They have already had their world trials; the US has not. All the American times are in season.
Missing Margalis’s 200 free. It was done in prelims. Also, the order on the 100 back is wrong, although I think the times are right.
All the Charlotte times appear to be missing.
left off from Charlotte:
200 free – Leah Smith, 1;57.72
400 IM – Leah Smith, 4:42.94
The 50 frees from Charlotte- Smoliga, Caldwell as well as Burchill 100 fly should make the list as plus Britt and Carter 200 flys to name a few.
Caldwell 55.11 100 Free
Missing a bunch of times from Charlotte…
Hi. For some reason, USA Swimming has included some of the Charlotte times into their database, but not all of them. I’ll go through the results and add in where it’s necessary. Thanks!
The results are in meet mobile and there are many omissions. In 3 minutes I found from Friday 100 back Elise Haan 101.02, Kylie Stewart 101.63, 200 fly Joanna Melo 210.18, Chelsea Britt 212.11, Olivia carter 212.22 100 Breast Melanie margalis 108.87 (108.83 in prelims) 200 IM Joanna Melo 215.21, 400 free Hannah Moore 411.99 50 free Madison Kennedy 25.22. There are many more on Saturday and Sunday as well.
I went through meet mobile and added them in. When originally putting the lists together, results from Charlotte UltraSwim were coming up on the USA swimming database, and there was no reason to believe some results would have been omitted. I’ll go back through the results of each meet again to make sure everything has been accounted for.
