Kathrin Demler, formerly of the Ohio State Buckeyes of the NCAA, put away two more wins on day 2 of the 2021 German Short Course Championships.

First, Demler snagged the women’s 400m IM victory in a time of 4:37.36 before moving on to the 200m freestyle. In the latter event, the 25-year-old posted a time of 1:57.88 to top the podium over Zoe Vogelman. Vogelman settled for silver in 1:58.38, with both women representing the only swimmers under the 2:00 mark in the event.

Demler is taking a break from the International Swimming League (ISL) where she competes as a member of the Cali Condors. Demler owns a lifetime best of 4:34.76 in the short course 400 IM, a time she produced just last week to place 3rd in match #7.

Also tonight Angelina Kohler touched in a time of 26.45 to win the women’s 540m fly while Sven Shwarz double up on his 1500m free win yesterday with a 200m free gold tonight. He touched in 1:48.03 to add another medal to his haul after just 2 days.
