Cordes On Training With Sergio Lopez: GMM presented by SwimOutlet.com

Gold Medal Minute presented by SwimOutlet.com

Kevin Cordes talks about training with Sergio Lopez in Auburn.

Cordes, who picked up gold on the 2016 Olympic medal relay, reflects on his individual performance in Rio where he finished just off the podium in the 100 breaststroke and 8th in the 200 breaststroke.  He sees room for improvement in 2020, planning for the transition from US Olympic Trials to the Olympics Games.

Do you mean legal or illegal dolphin kicks? If it’s legal then I’m pretty sure he’s doing it. If it’s illegal then I think you need to watch the underwater shot of the start of 100m Olympic final. There’s only one person who chucks in a little secondary kick.

Doesn’t exist. You have to know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that finds them at the end of a rainbow

He should leave Auburn and Sergio and go back to train wtih Rick Demont at AZ. Not sure why cordes left Rick in the first place.

He’s got his work cut out for him. Auburn is nicer in the winter, but not so sure he shouldn’t move to Kansas and train with MA every day. MA along with Whitley (4 years older) will definitely be the markers going into 2020.

But I fear the worst in the next few weeks with that kind of things…. 😆
I will not ask you how do you do. However I would like to post videos as I used to do it. When I posted the links the videos used to appear on the page. Now we can see only the links and are forced to leave swimswam to watch the videos. I wonder what has changed since the new format of the comment section. I hope I’ve been clear. I’m not a specialist.
Example. The famous pool where MA trains.

Only the link appears. Unlike Mel Stewart’s videos above. What I have to do differently? Or maybe it’s not possible anymore for commenters?

Imagine Whitley in MA’s training pool!
Once he dives I think in 2 strokes he touches the wall.
