CSP Tiderider Mikayla Kempf Commits to Truman State

Mikayla Kempf of the CSP Tideriders in St Louis has verbally committed to Truman State University. Her coach at CSP Tideriders, Dave McCrary say “She is a hard worker and extremely positive person to work with.”

Mikayla was 4th in the 100 Free and 11th in the 100 Back at the MSHSAA Championships in 2015.  Last spring at the Region VIII Central Sectional Championships Mikayla took 18th in the 100 Free.  She also competed at NCSA Junior Nationals in Indiana this summer.

Mikayla will fit right in with the Bulldogs, as she already has five events that would have scored at last year’s Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships.  Her backstroke times would have landed her solidly in the B final at the 2015 GLVC meet, and her 100, 200 and 500 freestyles would have all been A-final worthy.

Mikayla says she is very excited to be a part of the Truman State team next year.  She says that the swimmers at Truman really made her feel welcome and she can’t wait to work with Coach Pretre.

Mikayla’s top times:

50 Free – 24.82 (scy)    28.79 (lcm)

100 Free – 52.43 (scy)     1:00.55 (lcm)

200 Free – 1:54.88 (scy) 2:11.25 (lcm)

500 Free –  5:08.24 (scy)

100 Back – 59.51 (scy)    1:08.67 (lcm)

200 Back – 2:07.02 (scy)    2:26.52 (lcm)
