Danielle Hepler to Follow Sisters into D1: Gives Verbal to Mizzou

Danielle Hepler has announced her intention to swim for the University of Missouri beginning in the fall of 2018. Hepler hails from Katy, Texas and is a rising senior at Seven Lakes High School, although she doesn’t participate in high school swimming. Hepler swims for First Colony Swim Team. Hepler follows two older sisters into collegiate swimming; Melissa Hepler swam at Eastern Illinois University and Kristen Hepler is a rising sophomore at Georgia Tech.

“I chose the University of Missouri because the school has everything I was looking for. The coaching staff have great goals for the program and the team has so much energy. The facilities and equipment available for the athletes are just unbeatable. I can’t wait to be a part of the team! Go tigers!”

Hepler specializes mostly in IM and freestyle, although she is competent in just about everything. At the 2017 Dolfin ISCA Junior Championship Cup in March, she won the 200 free and 400 IM, was runner-up in the 500 free and 200 IM, and also finaled in the 50 fly (4th) and 100 free (6th).
