Danish distance standout Oskar Lindholm has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Florida’s class of 2025.

It is an honor to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Florida. I want to thank my family, friends and coaches who have helped me on this journey. Go Gators!!!🐊🐊 #gogators #floridaman #classof2025

  • 200m free – 1:53.43 (1:39.30 SCY conv.)
  • 400m free – 3:57.86 (4:26.50)
  • 800m free – 8:08.14 (9:06.93)
  • 1500m free – 15:48.16 (15:29.56)
  • 400m IM – 4:33.43 (4:00.56)

In spring of 2019, Lindholm placed third at the Danish Open in the 800 free (8:08.14) with a lifetime best, behind only national record-holder Anton Ipsen and national junior record-holder Alexander Norgaard. Both have NCAA connections, too; Ipsen swam at NC State, while Norgaard is in NC State’s incoming class of 2024.

Lindholm also has SCM bests of 1:47.84 in the 200 free, 3:50.44 in the 400 free, 7:50.51 in the 800 free, and 14:57.58 in the 1500 free.

Florida’s phenomenal group of sophomore distance freestylers will overlap with Lindholm for one season. That group is led by 2019 SEC 1650 Free Champion and 2019 U.S. National 800/1500 Free Champion Robert Finke, 2019 NCAA 500 free B-finalist Trey Freeman, and 2019 U.S. Open 400 free runner-up Kieran Smith. The Gators current freshmen class includes a trio of standout distance specialists in Alfonso Mestre, Kevin Vargas, and Brennan Gravley.

Lindholm appears to be the first 2025 commit on the men’s side for the Gators.

He is 6’8 so I guess that could technically classify as ‘stand out’.

He’s a high school-er and ranks 5th all-time in Danish history in the 800m LCM free as far as I can tell.

And Lamar Jackson is the first QB to record over 30 TDs in a season with a 30 year old kicker after attending Louisville while having a father and playing with an average wind speed of 11 MPH while having a size 14 shoe and it was sunny outside.

Bro. Lamar Jackson’s dad died on the same day as his grandma when he was 8 years old.

I don’t think your joke is very funny.

You have to remember that they are recruiting “kids” that have done these times as 10th graders and maybe 15 years old.

Now we know why you are an augie Busch fan
