In the SwimSwam Podcast dive deeper into the sport you love with insider conversations about swimming. Hosted by Coleman Hodges, Garrett McCaffrey, and Gold Medal Mel Stewart, SwimSwam welcomes both the biggest names in swimming that you already know, and rising stars that you need to get to know, as we break down the past, present, and future of aquatic sports.
Olympic superstar Dara Torres drops in on this episode of the SwimSwam Podcast. Dara is the first swimmer to compete in five Olympic Games (1984, 1988, 1992, 2000 and 2008), and the oldest swimmer to make an Olympic Team, which she did at the age of 41. On the Olympic stage Dara earned twelve medals — four gold, four bronze, four silver — tying her with teammates Jenny Thompson and Natalie Coughlin for the most Olympic medals won by a woman.
In this podcast Dara unpacks the recent women’s sprint events at the U.S. Olympic Trials, and her connection to the newly named U.S. Olympic Team Captain, Simone Manuel. Dara also explains her new position as the Chief Wellness Officer for www.canibrands.com (pronounced Can-Eye-Brands), a CBD company.

Mel:
Excellent interview, and an interesting product that may help athletes without crossing the “doping line”. One aside: do you and Dara use the same optician? The glass frames look alike!
