We all know retired 12-time Olympian, Dara Torres, is wicked-fast in the water, but we will also get to see how that translates to the road, as she and 17 other celebrities will soon be racing in the 2015 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celebrity Race.
The 39th annual charity race is slated for April 18th and will cover a 1.97-mile street course throughout downtown Long Beach, California as part of the “41st Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach” weekend. Torres, along with the other contestants, will be driving a 210-horsepower Scion FR-S race-prepped car in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the “Racing for Kids” program, a national fundraising program to support children’s hospitals throughout America.
Among the additional drivers competing against Torres are ESPN radio host Steve Mason, Terminator 2 actor Robert Patrick and John Rzeznik of “Goo Goo Dolls” fame.

I dont think that she went to 12 olympics
I think she meant to type “12 time Olympic medalist”
It sure seems like she’s been in 12.
