China Continuing Sweep Of Diving
China has won gold in three diving events so far and will go for their 4th today with the final of the men’s 3 meter synchro springboard event. Wang Zongyuan won gold alongside 3 meter partner Xie Siyi in Tokyo. Wang returns to this year’s final, with new partner Long Daoyi. The US and Germany won silver and bronze in Tokyo but Germany will not have any divers in the final.
Defending Champ Returns To Men’s 10,000 Meter (Athletics)
Selemon Barega of Ethiopia won gold in the men’s 10,000 meter race in Tokyo and is one of 27 men in the final of the event here in Paris. Barega is the only member from the podium in 2002 to be racing the event here.
Spain, US Continue To Lead Women’s Water Polo
The US women’s water polo team won gold in Tokyo and looks to continue their streak. They currently sit in 2nd in Group B. Spain leads the way in the group and won silver in Tokyo.
