Canada’s Kali Metuzals has verbally committed to the University of Denver for fall 2021. Metuzals swims with the Greater Ottawa Kingfish.

TOP TIMES (LCM / SCY conv.)

  • 50 free – 27.61 / 24.32
  • 100 free – 57.84 / 51.29
  • 200 free – 2:06.77 / 1:51.65

Metuzals is a sprinter, with strengths in free and fly. At the 2019 Canada Junior Championships, she swam to top-eight finishes in the 50 free and 100 free in her age group. She also raced at the 2019 Canadian Worlds Trials two years ago, competing in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 100 fly.

The Denver women dominated the 2020 Summit League Championships, scoring almost 500 more points than the second-place team, South Dakota. At that meet, Metuzals would’ve made A-finals in the 200 free, 100 fly and 100 free.

Metuzals joins Denver’s class of 2025 with Haley Chesno, Jessica Maeda and Mia Moulden.
