Zach Spain, a current high school senior from Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, has committed to swim for Division III New York University. Spain will graduate from Germantown Academy in spring 2020 and join the Violets’ class of 2024.
Spain is currently a year-round swimmer for the Germantown Aquatic Club.

With his current best times, Spain would have placed in the top heat of the 1650 freestyle at the UAA conference championship meet. He would have placed 6th with his current time of 15:50.54.

At the UAA Championships this year, the Violets placed 3rd as a team.
Spain will begin his swimming career at New York University beginning fall 2020.
